January Chamber Spotlight: Chamber of Commerce

Chamber Spotlight for January 2022

Happy New Year from the Chamber of Commerce in Olivia!

We are looking forward to many new and exciting things this year. We are welcoming three new members to our Chamber board. They are Jena Bruns with FM BANK, Philip Horsager with Kraft Walser Law, and Sarah Gass with HomeTown Bank.

With the addition of these three members, we were sad to say goodbye to Chuck Blum with Lakeland Broadcasting, Scott Tedrick with Renco Publishing, and Bil Schmitz. We are thankful for the time and years of service Chuck, Scott and Bil have put into the leadership of the Chamber. They will be missed.

Here are a few of the things we are looking forward to in 2022.

The Chamber will be hosting the spring Jobs/Career fair at the High School. This gives high school students the opportunity to meet and talk to our participating members. They get information about jobs, internships and career paths from our members.

We are also excited to bring back Chamber mixers for the year, to socialize, network and share ideas about business in Olivia.

We have also added a page to our website that is going to host job openings in our area. The job listing will be driven by our members needs for positions in their businesses that need to be filled.

The 2022 Chamber window clings are in! A membership with the Olivia Area Chamber of Commerce is an investment in our community and a commitment to goodwill, education and development. Being a member say a lot about your business and connects you will community leaders and businesses who care about the Olivia community. As you are out and about the community, please look for the window stickers that our members proudly display and thank them for supporting our Olivia Area Chamber of Commerce!
