The Gopher State Solar Project is a utility-scale solar project developed by Ranger Power in partnership with private landowners near Bird Island, Minnesota. The project will generate up to 200 MW of clean, low-cost solar energy for families and businesses in Minnesota – with the capacity to power tens of thousands of homes. It will maintain the character of the rural community while also contributing significant new tax revenue and creating local jobs during construction.
