The Chamber is excited to Spotlight Fischer Laser Eye Center in Olivia for the month! There is a little about what they said when we asked about their business!

Fischer Laser Eye Center was started in 1991 under the name Family Eye Center, with three locations, Olivia, Willmar and Paynesville. Dr. Fischer joined the group in 2003 and the name changed to its current name, Fischer Laser Eye Center. Currently there are seven locations. The business is proud to specialize in cataract, glaucoma and LASIK surgery as well as general eye care for the whole family.

In Olivia, there are five employees. Molly Heida is the Front Desk Reception/Office Manager, Jessica Dooner-LPN, and Megan Milbrandt is nursing staff/technician. Jenna Bruns and Kailee Moyars are the opticians. We have 5 optometrists and one ophthalmologist, which means we offer integrated eye care all in one office.

Dr. Mike Nagel says, “We have one rule in our office. Treat every person who walks through our door like GOLD. We truly care about our patients’ well-being and try to make their experience special.”

We are lucky to have such a caring team of people looking out for us in Olivia! Thank you Fischer Laser Eye Center for all you do for our community! A side note, they said to keep an EYE out for their sunglasses sale!

The Chamber of Commerce also had the opportunity to host a lunch and learn in the beginning of February. Vivid Image presented to our Chamber members for an hour about online marketing. It was a fantastic event that allowed the members to take some ideas back to the office and implement them into their online marketing strategies. We are lucky to have such valuable resources in our community, thank you to Tom Osthus and Steve Gasser for sharing some of your knowledge!

The Chamber also hosted the first “Chamber After Hours” this month. It was a great event and well attended by the members. The networking opportunity and connection with the businesses was great. We are going to be doing these events monthly! If you want to participate with the Chamber of Commerce, you’re always welcome to become a member, we accept members from any town! If we can be an advocate for your business and connect you with the larger community of businesses and people, everyone wins!
